Roles and Permissions
This guide explains how workspace roles help control access in Irmaya.
Overview
Roles and permissions help teams decide who can manage settings, configure the bot, review conversations, and access sensitive parts of the workspace.
Common Role Types
Typical workspace roles may include:
Workspace Owner
- full workspace control
- team management
- settings ownership
- broad access to product areas
Admin
- high-level operational access
- workspace configuration
- team support
Bot Developer
- bot behavior and knowledge configuration
- testing and iteration work
Support Agent
- conversation review
- human handoff handling
- customer response workflows
Viewer
- read-only access to selected areas
Managing Team Access
The normal access workflow is:
- open the workspace settings area
- add a team member
- choose the appropriate role
- review access again when responsibilities change
Best Practices
- give the minimum access needed for each role
- review permissions regularly
- keep owner and admin access limited to trusted people
- use role changes when responsibilities shift instead of sharing accounts
