This guide explains how to connect your WhatsApp Business account to Irmaya and confirm that your workspace is ready to receive customer messages.

Overview

Connecting WhatsApp allows Irmaya to receive inbound messages and support the rest of the workspace workflow.

After a successful connection, your team can:

  • review conversations
  • use bot assistance
  • manage contacts
  • send broadcasts
  • monitor activity in analytics

Before You Start

Prepare these requirements before connecting:

  • a WhatsApp Business account
  • workspace access with the ability to manage setup
  • a phone with WhatsApp Business installed if you are using a QR flow
  • a stable internet connection

Choose a Connection Method

Irmaya may support more than one connection flow depending on the current setup.

QR Code Scanning

Use this flow when you are connecting a device directly through the dashboard.

Typical QR flow:

  • open Connect WhatsApp in the dashboard
  • choose the QR connection option
  • open WhatsApp on your phone
  • go to Linked Devices
  • scan the QR code shown in Irmaya
  • wait for the connection to complete

Confirm Active Transport

Use this flow when a connection already exists and needs to be confirmed or revalidated in the product flow.

Typical confirm flow:

  • open Connect WhatsApp
  • choose the transport confirmation option
  • verify the current connection state
  • confirm the connection inside Irmaya

Check the Result

After connecting, confirm these outcomes:

  • the workspace shows an active connection
  • test messages can arrive in Conversations
  • the connection remains stable long enough for a simple trial

Common Issues

QR code expires before scanning

Try:

  • refreshing the page
  • generating a new QR code
  • scanning again with the phone ready in advance

Connection fails

Check:

  • internet access
  • phone readiness
  • WhatsApp Business app status
  • whether an older connection should be removed first

Messages do not appear after connection

Review:

  • whether the connection still shows as active
  • whether a sample message has been sent
  • whether the workspace is using the expected transport flow

Best Practices

  • connect with the intended business account, not a personal account
  • test with a real message after setup
  • avoid leaving old or duplicate device connections in place
